Good Morning Todd,

I visited your booth at the Fairfax Craft Show this weekend and purchased one of the prints for "Wash Day".  The picture reminded me of places I knew in Georgia where I grew up.  The detail brought forth by utilizing the black and white is really eye catching.  This picture will be placed on my wall in my office at home to remind me of times gone by and yet also of a photographer who has a real talent.

Hello Todd,

I visited your booth at Autumn Days in Elkton this past weekend.  I am never attracted to photography but when I walked past your booth I was so taken by your work that I had to come in for a closer look.  I like to attend the fall arts and crafts festivals in the area and, I admit, I usually walk on by the photography booths.  But when I saw your pictures, I was just drawn to them.  I especially like the black and white shots.  We moved into a new house in April of 2006 and I have been looking for artwork for my walls since then.  I just couldn't find anything that really captured my attention until now!  Thanks for the lovely artwork!

To anyone interested in working with Todd,

    Once I looked at Todd's website I knew I had to have him do the family portraits I wanted. I am in a family of 4. Myself, Joe (my hubby), my daughter Emmy (age 5) and Luke (6 months at the time of the pictures). We went to a very original spot with a pond and a bridge and some benches. The way Todd used those few items in the photos was wonderful. One picture I love the most is of Joe and me on the bridge. It looks so simple, but I was there and so I know it took lots of skill to get that shot. I am not the skinniest of people and Todd was very sensitive and understanding about how I wanted to be portrayed. He got wonderful shots of my family and I am so proud of them that I had to recently order more prints. Due to his skill, style of photography, personality, professionalism and great prices, Todd is now my families’ photographer. I trust him to get the best shots possible for my family and me.  In a nut shell.... You can't go wrong with Todd.

Todd Merica photographed our May 21st 2006 wedding and we are very thankful because if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have been able to have professional photos of our wedding because it wasn't in our budget..... but then Todd came along. He was so easy to work with and the prices are very reasonable compared to other local photographers. Todd never tried to pressure us in any way he was always very professional and willing. He voiced his professional opinion on shots if we asked, and if he thought the shot wouldn't look right he would say so. We plan on getting Todd to photograph all of our future portraits. We met Todd Merica just a little over a year ago at one of the Shenandoah Valley festivals.  Todd was very friendly and outgoing and we were very impressed by his unique black and white photography.  Just a few months ago, Todd took some photographs of our precious little dog and of us with the pup.  I have to say that he did more than just take a photograph.  He captured  the very essence of what our little dog is all about and how we feel about him.  Todd has given us excellent photographs that will be with us for the rest of our lives - memories that we will cherish forever.  Todd's work would be appreciated by anyone who wants the very best images of the people, places and things they love.

If it wasn't for a friend of mine we wouldn't have known about Todd, but just talking to him on the phone I knew I wanted him to do our photos. Hello Todd:

Thank you for inviting me to email you.

I will enjoy the photographs, Window to the Soul, and Love, the 2 pictures I bought on Saturday.   I am sure many others will as well.

  Along with having an artists soul, I am “a hillbilly psychologist”. I believe these photographs will greatly enhance the ambience of my counseling office.  At the end of the month I will be leaving the hospital where I now work, to set up my own practice. These pictures will make very nice additions to my new office décor.

  I also plan to return to Massanutten some time in the next year. I hope to see more of your work then, and maybe even add to my collection. Keep pursuing your passion!

  I am also a Christian, and was blessed by the scripture quotes on your website.

Hello Todd. 

I just wanted to thank you for renewing my interest in photography.  I walked away from your class with a much better insight into photography.  I got to know my camera a lot better.  And with your excellent recommendations was able to purchase a new camera that better suited my needs.  You definitely know your stuff.  Now I am able to take the pictures of my family I always dreamed of. 

I also wanted to say how impressed I was with the way you taught your class.  You had students with many different levels of knowledge of photography and you took the time needed with each one of them.  You are an excellent teacher.  I highly recommend anyone with an interest in photography sign up for one of your classes.  The next time I am in your area I would like to call you to set up individual instruction.  I have a feeling the class only skimmed the surface of all the knowledge you could impart on photography.

Todd--I learned more from you in 90 minutes than the several hours I've spent pouring over my instruction books that came with my digital camera! 

Your friendly manner and willingness to answer any and all questions about our individual cameras was very welcome. 

 Unlike many instructors you also were available after class to answer questions. You had quite a line up when I made my exit! 

I took a  digital camera class that promised to teach me how to use my camera last summer--It was so generic that all I, and the other members I talked to after the class, didn't learn any more than we did from the sales rep who sold the camera.

Loved your handout and the fact that you encouraged note taking.  Now I have notes that will serve me better than the manuals have!

Thanks for sharing some of your knowledge with us.  You are one heck of a teacher!

I was at a craft show in Elkton a couple of weeks ago when I happened to stroll by your booth. The thing that caught my eye was a frame that you had hanging in there so I went inside to take a look. Once I was in there and started looking at your work, I was in utter amazement. I have been interested in photography for a few years, but nothing really serious. Your work has really inspired me to want to get into it as a very serious hobby, maybe even more. I just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration and that you do a tremendous job. I plan on taking your class in the near future and would even like to do some one on one work with you. Once again, thanks for the inspiration and keep up the good work.
